Leah found that minority youth in the Bay area often lack knowledge about social justice issues. Her leadership project hosts workshops with middle schoolers and high school freshmen to teach them about social justice issues and minority figures in politics and advocacy. These workshops give light to underrepresented voices in politics. Her project introduces marginalized groups of students to topics of social justice and activism to get them interested in politics, increasing representation in this field.
